Swatches and Review: Maybelline - Sapphire Masquerade

Hello Sugars...
I went to Walmart to pick up some Groceries, and two polishes by Maybelline magically fell in my cart.

Someone Later commented on Instagram under a picture I posted with the above words that Walmart had some issues with Wobbly Shelves and the polishes falling in my cart, was totally normal... LOL...Hahaha, I love that comment soo much!!!
Totally makes sense that two beautiful polishes would wobble their way in my cart.. doesn't it?

Anyway, Today I have one of those polishes to show you all and it's Maybelline - Sapphire Masquerade

Bottle shots for your enjoyment.

And here it is on my nails.
This is called "Sapphire", but it's actually purple in real life. I tried to get my pictures to be as color accurate as possible.

It's totally no wonder why I fell in love with this polish at Walmart. It is purple, glittery and looked gorgeous in the botttle.

I LOVE the look of this polish, even on my nails, But I'll go in detail about my thoughts on the formula in a little bit.

Here's an even more detailed up close look. This polish has an 'Indie Polish' look to it, and I am pretty impressed that a big company like Maybelline came up with it. It pleases the glitter bomb lover in me. :-)

Now, About the formula of this polish....
As beautiful as this polish looked in the bottle and on my nails, I must say I was disappointed in the formula because it was total crap. Oops, too harsh??
No, I don't think so.
There's no way to sugar coat the crappiness that the formula was.

It applied like goop... The first layer was extremely sheer, and draggy.. and the second coat, I practically had to "Dab" on my nails.
The Polish didn't Flow like nail polish and it was extremely thick.

After swatching, I poured some polish thinner in my bottle, but even that doesn't fully help this polish.

I am gonna keep my bottle but I really wish the formula was just a tad bit better than what it is.
It's a topcoat eater so I add to apply Gelous as topcoat before using my Color Club topcoat because this dried up gritty and harsh, and dull!
Overall, the end result looked good... So I'm sure some of you won't mind the application...

If you're interested in this polish, I purchased mine from Walmart at $2.79

Once again, I love this polish and it was fine after Gelous, Topcoat and lots of leveling down.

Well, That's it for now.
Till Later, God Bless.
