Review: Born Pretty Store Stamping Plates

Hello Everybody! Hope You're feeling fine? Hello Everybody! Hope you're feeling, feeling feeling, Hope You're feeling fiiiiiiiiiiiiiiiiiiiiiiiiiiiiiiiiiiinnnnnnnnnnnnnnnnnnnnnnnnnnneeeeeeeeeeeeeeeeeeee!!!!!

Lol.. Yes, I just Sang that song. I hope you know it? If you don't know it.. *insert awkward silence here*. Lol...

Anyhooo... I've got the long awaited Born Pretty Store Stamping plate review for you guys.
Let's get this show on the road because I've got so much more typing to do.
*flexes fingers, ready to type*.

Here are the plates I'll be reviewing today. One CK-04  plate, and 3 Born Pretty Store Konad dupes (m64, m78, and m59).

Let's start with the plates I'm sure most of you are more curious about. The Konad dupe plates from Born Pretty Store. I bought this three when BPS was having a sale on their stamping plates, and I think each plate cost about a dollar and some cents during that sale. Regular price for these currently is $2.32. But keep reading, and I'll tell you how to get it cheaper.

These came with a blue cover (as with most stamping plates), but I took them off already.

I know the first question most people have about the BPS plates are: "Is the image size small or big like the Konad plate".
So Here is BPS m78, compared with my real Konad plate m57. As you can see, the BPS one doesn't have "konad" engraved on it. The size of each full image on the konad is the same as that on the BPS plate. So If you're worried about size, worry no more.

I brought out a bundle monster plate for more comparison, and as you can see again, the BPS plate is just the same size as both the Konad and the BM plate.

Yet another "size" comparison picture with BM, RA, Konad, and my BPS plates. The BPS plates, once again are the same in size as everything else. If size is what is stopping you from getting the BPS plate, worry no more. I'm sure Price is not what is stopping you from buying the BPS plates, because the BPS plates are way cheaper than real Konad plates. BPS also offer free shipping worldwide, so you see... BPS wins here.

Alright, now that we've cleared the "size issue" out of the way, the other question most people have is.. "do the BPS plate stamp well"?
I have good news with regards to this answer. Yes Yes Yes, the BPS plates stamp well.
I was really glad with how well the stamping came out. Here's an image from BPS m64 that I stamped on paper. I chose this image because it has dots, and as you can see, even the dots shows up when stamped.
BPS m64 plate.
I tried randomly stamping some other images, and they all stamped really well. Take my word for it, stamping is not an issue with these konad dupe Born Pretty Store plates. Here are some manis I've done with the images on my BPS plates. (You might have seen these on my blog).

Okie doks.. now that we know the small plates are fine, let's move on to the Born pretty Store CK plates. I have CK-04 and this was sent to me for review.

It comes with a blue cover that you *must* take out before using. It says KandNail at the top of each plate.

Some of the images on these are images you might have seen before. Some are Konad dupes, and some are Bundle Monster dupes. Lovely designs that a lot of people want.

Here's what the back of the plate looks like.

Next, If you think this is like an XL plate, I'm sorry to say, No it isn't at all like an XL plate. And here's where the other not so good news comes in. The images on this CK plate are tiny. :-( Look at what the plate looks like compared to my Cheeky XL plate A.

*sighs*.. One thing I promise you all on my blog is honest reviews, and as much as I want to love this CK plate, I just don't know how or where to begin.
Here are some "image size" comparison pictures.

I compared the BPS single plate image (left), and my real Konad plate(right)  with the CK-04 plate (bottom). Look at the real Konad image and the BPS CK-04 zebra stripe dupe on the right. The BPS one is so tiny compared to the Konad one.
If you're looking at separate pictures, the images are the same, it's just the size that varies. Except you have like really small nail beds or tiny finger nails, you might have to double stamp if you get the CK-04 plate.

Next up, are two BM dupe images on the CK-04 plate compared with the real images on BM plates.
Images are dead on, but the only difference is size. :-(

And then, there are these images on the second row that I just don't get. The full images on the CK-04 plates are already tiny... but these ones on the second row are even tinier. Why?! Lol..

Here are images I stamped randomly. The images on the left are from BPS CK-04 plate. And the images on the right are. 1st: BM, 2nd: BPS single plate (konad dupe), and 3rd: Konad m57.

And finally, I got some nail polishes on the back of the CK-04 plate, and I used my acetone polish remover to *try* to clean it, and look at what happened to the words written on the back. lol.. Learn from my mistake. Don't clean! or be careful and don't spill on the back.

Soooooooo, after all is said and done. Here's my verdict on these BPS plates.

For the Single Plates: If you can't afford real Konad plates but want the images that konad gives? The BPS plates are your go-to plates. The images stamp well and the size is the same as konad images, BM images, and it's even a tinsy-bit bigger than RA images.

The price on the BPS single plates can't be rivaled. I haven't seen anywhere that sells real Konad plate for less than $7 (including shipping).

Now, about the CK plates: I don't think I'll be buying any of the CK plates that has full sized images on them because my nails aren't as tiny as those images are. When I use a full size image, I prefer to stamp once and be done with it. I dislike double stamping, or having patches on the side of my nails that aren't covered.
If you have a little girl in your life who loves stamping and nail art, this plate would be perfect for her though. The images stamp well and show up. It's just the size I seem to have a problem with.

To buy these plates, Head over to the Born Pretty Store. The single plates are currently $2.32 each and the CK plates are $8.53 each. They also offer free worldwide shipping to everyone.

Born Pretty Store was kind to offer my readers a 5% off discount code.

    1. Hello!

Yeah, it was a bit disappointing, but I realize they have to make stamping plates for little fingers too. :-D
I will use them for accent nails, or something... and I'll find some little girls in my life I can make happy by doing their mani.

Be sure to mention that it's not for "regular adult sized nails" though. Your viewers need to know that truth at least. :-)

Wish you left your youtube link so I can subscribe. :-(

  4. The only born pretty store single round plate that has smaller images than the Konad plate is M57. The images on that one is tiny. Great review. Now I'm not sure I will be getting the bigger image plates. I have large nails.

  9. This is great review! I only have one question about CK plate. How big images actually are? Like in compare to Bundle monster (first 21 set). I have tiny nails and all my Konad images are way to big.
