Layering: Finger Paints Motley over O.P.I Light My Sapphire

Hello lovelies!

I have a flakie layering for you today. A couple of days ago, I was at Sallys and I picked up 3 of the finger paints special effect polishes (Twisted, Asylum and Motley). I didn't get all 5 because I already have Nubar 2010, Hits Lambada and I have Zoya Chloe and Maisie coming to me soon. Flashy looks a lot like Nubar 2010 and Flecked looks like Zoya's Maisie.

I'm sure you've seen many swatches of the Finger paints flakies over black. Indeed these flakies are better seen over black, but I didn't want to use black. I decided to settle for O.P.I - Light my sapphire. It's navy blue but has a hint of purple under bright light. I used 3 thin coats of Light my Sapphire and two coats of Motley  for these swatches.

I then decided to put my Essie - Matte about you to work, so I matte-fied the mani.

I actually like this better matte-fied. The flakies appear more pronounced and it seems a bit - what's the word -  "edgier" to me.

Here's Light my Sapphire alone.

A Video I took before I matte-fied it.

That's it for today ladies. Which look do you prefer? Glossy or matte? Do you own any of the Finger paints flakies? I'm excited to try Twisted.  She looks the most prettiest in the bottle.

Anyhoo, Till later my dearies. Weekend is here! Whoo hoo.. Take Care, God Bless.
