I Hope you all had a fabulous 4th of July Yesterday.
Mine was lovely, and the Boyfriend and I went to see The Amazing Spiderman. ONE WORD: It was indeed AMAZING!
I Still have my 4th of July mani on, and Yes IT GOT Compliments as planned. Lol...
But I have swatches of Pretty and Polished - Jawbreaker to show you today.
If you've been around in the Polish world, You'll know that this polish is well sought after. I dare say it pioneered many "white based glitter polishes" you see around today.
Anyhoo, I finally got my hands on it when my friend Nat from No Holo Blog sent it to me.
Here it is:
I read LOVELY reviews about this polish, and I must say, The formula is indeed GREAT! it was opaque in two coats, but I used 3 for good measure. No shaking required and the glitters came out to play.
Look at those glitters up close. Beautiful eh?
Overall thoughts?
This is milky, nice, and the smell isn't offensive.
I love everything about the polish itself, but this polish made me realize something: I might not get to enjoy all of the white based glitter polishes out there. THEY LOOK SO GOOD but I don't think they compliment my skin. :-(
Sadly, I have about 3 other white based glitter polishes that look heavenly in the bottle. Idk what to do. Maybe it's all in my head that this doesn't compliment me?

ReplyDeleteI feel the same about white & pastel colors...they look so nice in the bottle, but I think they are too light for my darker skin tone. But I think maybe you and I are a little too critical of ourselves, and we should just enjoy our light polishes! ;-) Take care!!
